Using Other Web Browsers (Juno 4.0 and 5.0) In Juno 4.0 and earlier, Juno uses the default Web browser you have set on your computer. To change the Web browser Juno uses to connect to the Web, you will have to change your default Web browser to Netscape Navigator. In Juno 5.0, you can surf the Web with another browser instead of Juno's Web browser in the Web screen. After you connect to the Web through Juno, just open your other browser. This browser will use your Juno connection. You can also specify which browser Juno should use when you click links in messages or in ads. How do I? Set Netscape Navigator as the default browser Set the browser that opens links in Juno 5.0
To set Netscape Navigator as your default Web browser: - Start Navigator. If it is not currently set as the default, the following message will appear: Navigator is no longer registered to handle Internet Shortcuts. Would you like to register Navigator as your default browser?
- Click Yes. If Netscape is not the default, and it does not ask if you want to set it as the default when you start it, you will need to reinstall Netscape.
Please note that if you use Netscape Navigator 4.0, and it is not currently the default Web browser, you will have to reinstall and open it once after the install. There is no other way you can set it as your default Web browser.
To set the browser that opens links in Juno 5.0 - Go to the Options menu and select Web Preferences.
- In the Juno Web Preferences window, under Web Browser Settings, select the Open links in messages with Juno's Web browser check box to use Juno's Web browser. To use the browser you have set as your default browser, clear this check box.
- Click OK.
