How do I search the Web? If you want to find some information on the Web but are not sure where to begin, you can start your search on the Juno Web site. Google powers the search engine on the Juno Web site and helps Juno members find Web sites that meet their interests and needs. You can search using keywords that pertain to the subject you are interested in, or you can search for information by a particular category, for example, "Computing."
A keyword search quickly finds specific names, titles and terms within the search directory and throughout the millions of sites in the search index. Do not worry about using plus (+) and minus (-) signs, quotation marks (""), asterisks (*), or any other symbol to narrow your search. These symbols are known as Boolean operators and are not necessary when searching with My Juno. The search engine first checks the Web sites within its database (generally business related sites) and lists these first. A much more extensive listing of personal and small business sites will follow these results. To search the Web using keywords: - Go to Juno's Web site at http://my.juno.com/.
- In the Search the Web box located at the top of the page, type a word or phrase that pertains to the subject you are interested in.
- Click Search or press Enter. A list of links to pages that contain the word or phrase you searched for will be listed.
- Click the link that seems to match the information you are looking for.

Searching by category is the easy way to browse the search database by topic and to find Web sites in related areas. You do not need special commands or keystrokes - everything is just "point-and-click." Use the Category search to look for information within an area of general interest. To search the Web by Category: - Go to Juno's Web site at http://my.juno.com/.
- At the top of the page, next to the Search button, click the Explore by Category arrow to select the category you are interested in from the list.
- In the list of links that appear, click the link that matches the information you are looking for.
