Common Connection Errors / Solutions Error 676: The line is busy There are many possible causes for busy signals. If too many people are trying to use an access number at the same time, you may encounter a "slow" busy signal. This type of busy signal is the same one you will encounter if you try to call someone on the phone and the line is busy. If the busy signal is faster than this, it indicates a problem with your connection to the access number. Note: If you are subscribed to Juno's Toll-Free service please disregard these troubleshooting steps, and contact our technical support department at the URL shown below. Please try using an alternate access number, if one is available in your area. If you have alternate access to the Internet you can search for local access numbers in your area by clicking here.
For instructions on changing your access number in the Juno software, click here.
WARNING: THE USE OF SOME TELEPHONE ACCESS NUMBERS MAY RESULT IN LONG DISTANCE CHARGES. IN SELECTING YOUR ACCESS NUMBER(S), PLEASE NOTE THAT ALTHOUGH AN ACCESS NUMBER MAY BE IN YOUR AREA CODE OR LOCATED IN YOUR GENERAL GEOGRAPHIC REGION, IT MAY NOT NECESSARILY BE A LOCAL NUMBER FOR YOU. YOU MAY INCUR SUBSTANTIAL TELEPHONE CHARGES IF YOU CHOOSE ACCESS NUMBERS THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY YOUR LOCAL CALLING PLAN. WE URGE YOU TO CHECK WITH YOUR TELEPHONE COMPANY TO FIND OUT WHICH NUMBERS ARE LOCAL FOR YOU BEFORE USING A NUMBER FROM THIS LIST. Note: You are solely responsible for all telephone charges related to accessing our services. Juno will not reimburse you for any such charges, including long distance or toll charges. Our technical support department can help identify and resolve busy numbers, but we will need some additional information from you in order to investigate and resolve this issue. Please go to the following Web site and submit your data. Be sure to include the type of busy signal (fast or slow) in the error message field. Once we have received this information, we will escalate it to our dial-up team for investigation and resolution.
