Common Browser Errors / Solutions Error - Cannot read from drive A (Juno 5.0) If you are having trouble installing Juno from a disk and receive an error that states "Cannot read from drive A," there could be a number of reasons for the problem. There may be an incompatibility between the disk and your disk drive, a problem with your drive, or a problem with the disk. Below are a list of steps you can take to troubleshoot this problem: - Make sure that your disk drive can read 3.5-inch high-density disks. If it cannot, you will not be able to install Juno from a disk.
- Try putting a different disk in your drive to make sure your drive is functioning correctly. If you still receive the error message, there may be a hardware problem with the drive itself.
- Run ScanDisk (in Windows 95/98) on the Juno disk to check for any obvious problems. If the disk is corrupted, you can download the software from our Web site by going to http://my.juno.com/s/download.
- If you have a CD-ROM drive, call us toll-free at 1-800-654-5866, and we will mail you the latest version of the Juno software on a CD-ROM. Please note, there is a one-time $10.00 processing fee form the CD-ROM that includes shipping and handling.
- Run ScanDisk on your computer to make sure that your hard disk is not corrupted. If it is, your computer may be the problem. For more information on using ScanDisk, please see your Windows user's manual.
