I can not start Juno. The Juno icon or shortcut is missing (Juno 5.0)

As long as Juno is still installed on your computer, you can easily recreate the Juno icon on your desktop.

To recreate the Juno icon on your desktop:

  1. Click the Windows Start button, point to Find, and click Files or Folders.
  2. In the Find: All Files window, type juno.exe in the Named box. The juno.exe file is the file that starts Juno.
  3. Click Find Now to begin the search.
  4. The juno.exe file should appear in the pane below the Find screen. If no files are found, then Juno is not installed on your computer and you will have to reinstall it.
  5. Right-click the juno.exe listing and click Create Shortcut on the shortcut menu. If there is more than one juno.exe file on your computer, make sure you right-click the version of Juno you are currently using. Look at where the file is located under the In Folder column to make sure you right-click the correct one.
  6. On the Shortcut screen, click Yes to place the shortcut on your desktop.
  7. Go to the File menu and select Close.

If you go to your desktop, you will see the Juno icon again. To start Juno, just double-click it.

To recreate the Juno program group in Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0:

  4. On the Create Shortcut screen, click Browse.
  5. Click the Look in arrow to locate the folder where you installed Juno. For example, you may have installed Juno in C:\Juno or in C:\Program Files\Juno. If you cannot find Juno on your computer, then Juno is not installed on your computer and you will have to reinstall it.
  6. When you find the Juno installation folder, double-click it to open it.
  7. In this folder is another folder called bin. Double-click the bin folder to open it.
  8. In the bin folder, select juno.exe and click Open. The Create Shortcut screen will appear again with the Command line box filled in.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Scroll through the list that appears and select the Juno folder. If a Juno folder does not exist, click New Folder, type Juno, and then select this folder.
  11. Click Next.
  12. In the box, type a name for the juno.exe and click Finish. You can type whatever you want as long as you know that it will start Juno.
