Norton AntiVirus Error 100: Malformed Request

This error appears when the Norton Internet Security Online software is being installed on another computer.

To resolve this issue, please copy the Download Manager (NAVDwnld.exe) to the computer that is experiencing these issues. If you cannot find the Download Manager file, then please download the Download Manager again.

  1. Open Download Manager
  2. Double-click the Download Manager icon .
  3. DO NOT CLICK THE START BUTTON!
    Instead, just close the Download Manager by clicking the X button in the upper-right corner. (You do not have to click the Start button because actually downloading the software again is not necessary).
  4. Reinstall your Norton software and activate it when prompted.
