To use your Norton 360™ Online Firewall:- Start Norton 360™ Online, mouse over the PC Security section and select Manage Firewall.
- Click on the General Settings tab and set the slider for Smart Firewall to On.
- Click on the Intrusion and Browser Protection tab and set the sliders for Intrusion Prevention, Browser Protection, and Download Intelligence to On.
- Click Apply then click Close to finish.
You can customize your Firewall to allow certain Internet traffic to pass, or to allow specific programs to run.
To add a Traffic Rule:- Start Norton 360™ Online, mouse over the PC Security section and select Manage Firewall
- Click on the Traffic Rules tab, then click the Add button
- Follow instructions in the Add Rule Wizard
To add a Program Rule:- Start Norton 360™ Online, mouse over the PC Security section and select Manage Firewall
- Click on the Program Rules tab
- To modify a program currently in your Program Rule list, click on the drop-down menu and select the new status (Allow, Block, Custom, or Auto). To remove a program from the list, click on the Remove button.
- To add a new program, click on the Add button and follow the on-screen instructions.
