How do I spell check a message? (Juno 5.0)

Juno includes a Spell Check function that you can use to check your outgoing messages for spelling errors. Spell Check looks for words that are not in its dictionary and for words that you might have accidentally entered twice.

To spell check a message in Juno 2.0 or later:

  1. Write your message.
  2. Click Spell Check. If Juno does not find spelling mistakes, unknown words, or repeated words, a message will appear stating that the spell check is complete. Click OK.
  3. If Juno finds a misspelled word or a word that is not in its dictionary, the Check Spelling window will appear with the misspelled word displayed in the Not in dictionary box and a suggested correct spelling of the word in the Change to box.
  4. If the word in the Not in dictionary box is spelled correctly, you have the following options:
  • To leave the spelling of the word unchanged, click Ignore.
  • To leave the spelling of the word and all occurrences of the same word unchanged, click Ignore All. (Thereafter, the word is ignored each time you spell check during your Juno session.)
  • To add the word to your personal dictionary, click Add. Any words you add to your personal dictionary are no longer reported as misspelled.
  1. If the word in the Not in dictionary box is misspelled, you can correct it by:
  • Typing the correct spelling yourself in the Change to box.
  • Selecting the correct spelling from the Suggestions list.
  • Clicking Suggest to display additional words in the Suggestions list if none of the original suggestions seem correct.
  • Clicking Change to change the word in the Not in dictionary box to the word in the Change to box.
  • Clicking Change All to change the word in the Not in dictionary box and every occurrence of the word in your message to the word in the Change to box.
  1. If the word is repeated, the repeated word appears in the Repeated word box. You have the following options:
  • To ignore the second occurrence of the word, click Ignore.
  • To delete the second occurrence of the word, click Delete.
  1. After spell check is complete, click OK.
