How do I find an email message I previously moved or copied into one of my email folders? (Juno 5.0) You can search for a particular message or messages across any combination of your folders. By default, Juno searches the Subject line and the text of all your messages for the word or phrase that you specified. You can specify advanced search settings when you want to specify more conditions, such as the name of a particular person from whom you received a message.
To search for messages across folders: - In Juno 5.0: Go to the Edit menu and select Find Messages.
In Juno 3.0 or 4.0: Go to the Edit menu and select Search for Messages.
- In the window that appears, type the word or phrase you want to find in the Search for messages containing box.
- Select the Subject line check box to search for the word or phrase in the Subject line of all your messages.
- Select the Text of message check box to search the text of all your messages. If you want to search only the Subject line, clear this check box.
- To fine-tune your search, click Advanced to specify advanced search settings. See the following procedure for instructions.
- Click Start Search to start your search. The search results window appears listing all found messages. From the search results window, you can reply, forward, delete, print, move, copy, or sort messages as you would in the Read screen.
- Click Close.
To specify advanced settings: - In Juno 5.0: Go to the Edit menu and select Find Messages.
In Juno 3.0 or 4.0: Go tothe Edit menu and select Search for Messages.
- On the screen that appears, click Advanced to expand the screen. (When the screen is expanded, the Advanced button will change to a Basic button.) You have the following options:
- To search for messages from a particular person, type the person's name or email address in the Received from box.
- To search for messages you sent to a particular person, type the person's name or email address in the Sent to box.
- To search for messages from a certain date or within a certain time period, click the between arrow to select the start date for your search. Click the and arrow to select the end date for your search. If a calendar does not appear when you click either arrow, you can type the desired date in the "MM/DD/YYYY" format.
- Under Search in the following locations, select the check boxes next to the folders you want to search. Clear the check boxes for the folders you don't want to search. If you have many folders and want to search only one or two, click Unselect All to clear the selection of any folders, and then select only the folders you want to search. If you change your mind and want to search all the folders, click Select All.
- Specify the search method:
- To search only the messages you have already found (and are listed in the search results screen), click Search previous results. If you would like to narrow your search further, you can change the search guidelines you set before, or you can select Search previous results to search only the messages you have already found.
- To search the selected folders, click Search checked folders.
