Common Browser Errors / Solutions

Error - Protocol not configured

If you get this error, your Web browser has probably been configured for use by another program (such as Quicken or another Internet service provider). To solve this problem, you will have to install a new copy of your Web browser. You can install Microsoft Internet Explorer from the Juno CD-ROM.

If you have reinstalled your Web browser and still receive this error, your Microsoft Dial-Up Networking installation may be corrupted. You will have to uninstall and reinstall Dial-Up Networking. If you are currently using Dial-Up Networking with another program, such as fax software or software from another Internet service provider (ISP), you will need to reconfigure those applications after reinstalling Dial-Up Networking.

Dial-Up Networking is installed from your original Windows installation files, so please make sure you have your Windows installation files on disk or CD-ROM, or that they are backed up on your computer. If you deleted them from your computer or do not have them on disk or CD-ROM, you will not be able to reinstall Dial-Up Networking.

Let our new Connection Wizard pinpoint your problem!

The Juno Connection Wizard is our newest help tool. Download it today to identify and resolve many common issues that may prevent you from successfully connecting to the Internet.

To use the Juno Connection Wizard, you will need to have a Windows Operating System (other than Windows NT) running on your computer. If you cannot download the Juno Connection Wizard from your computer, simply download it onto a diskette from any computer with Internet access and then install it on the computer you would like to fix.
