Please take the following steps to troubleshoot this problem: - Check what kind of modem you have. We have noticed compatibility issues with IBM Mwave modems and our access numbers. If you have this modem, you may need a software patch for Juno to work. Please contact visit IBM's Web site (see your modem manual for contact information) and ask for a copy of this patch.
- To check whether your access number is working, dial the number directly using your telephone instead of your modem. If you do not hear modem handshaking sounds, then there may be a temporary problem with the access number. You should try again later, or try connecting using a different access number.
- If you hear a modem pick up on the other end when you dial (either with your modem or with your telephone) but are still unable to connect, your modem may not be properly configured. You should review your modem configuration.
- You may have to update your modem's drivers. Your modem manufacturer should be able to instruct you as to how to update your modem drivers.
- Please check which version of Juno you are using. The latest version of Juno is 5.0. To determine which version of Juno is installed on your computer:
