How do I delete my account? (Juno 5.0)

There are two ways you can delete your Juno account:

  • If you would like to continue using your Juno account, but do not need it on a particular computer, you can remove your account from just that computer.

  • If you are no longer happy with Juno's Free Internet service, you can delete your account entirely and permanently.
    Note: You cannot permanently delete an account that is currently signed up for one Juno's premium services (for example, Juno Web); you must cancel your account by contacting us.

Deleting your account from just one computer

If you're using Juno 2.0 or later, and would like to delete your account from just the computer you are currently using follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you have enabled remote access for your account.
  2. Start Juno.
  3. When the Welcome to Juno screen appears, click Delete Account.
  4. On the Delete Account screen, click the Email address or Name arrow to select the account you want to delete.
  5. Click on Just this computer.
  6. Click OK.

Tip: Your account and all information associated with your account will be deleted from your computer, including your email messages, folders, and Address Book. If you want to save any of this information, you should create backup copies before you delete your account.


Deleting your account permanently

We appreciate your support and hope you are happy with your Juno service. If you are not happy with Juno's Free Internet service, you can delete your account entirely and permanently. You will no longer have access to your account and no one will ever be able to create another account with the same user name as the one you deleted. Because user names are not case-sensitive, you will not even be able to create an account with a user name that is spelled the same but capitalized differently.

To permanently delete your account in Juno 2.0 or later:

  1. Make sure that you have enabled remote access for your account.
  2. Start Juno.
  3. When the Welcome to Juno screen appears, click Delete Account.
  4. On the Delete Account screen, click the Email address or Name arrow to select the account you want to delete.
  5. In the Password box, type the password for the account.
  6. Click Juno's central computers and this computer.
  7. Click OK.
